My work on a school project: “The Colonel Connection” (For a previous course, we were working on making a basic WordPress.com (the link opens in a new tab) site. I have (somehow) managed to still be able to access that said project. You can browse that project here at “The Colonel Connection” (the link opens in a new tab).
For my version of “The Colonel Connection,” a brief summary of that project I made is that we (The Colonel Connection) “Provide superior assistive service[s] to the Nicholls State University’s and Nicholls Online’s communities for support services to all student, staff, and, also, faculty of those communities and those communities’ families. [Our] services include[:] relocation services, career placement assistance, and networking basics and counseling. We aim to please all that we can.”
Now, as I look back over that Introduction and re-type it here, I notice I have made a few grammatical and word choice errors. I have pointed those out above by their additions inside of the brackets (“[” and “]”).

Hey are using WordPress for your site platform? I’m new to the blog
world but I’m trying to get started and create my own. Do you require any coding expertise to make your
own blog? Any help would be really appreciated!
Yes, I use WordPress and have enjoyed it (and still do). Nowadays you do not need to know coding (if at all) to make a blog. However, knowing coding, even minimal, will not hurt you as knowing coding can (even knowing basic coding like can be learned and referenced through w3schools.com) allow you to fully customize HTML and CSS elements in your WordPress widgets and child themes and blog entries and such, etc.
You can host a WordPress.org install through a webhost provider, such as GoDaddy (godaddy.com) as I do or use another company as a host for a WordPress install. Your chosen host may even allow an install of a different platform like Drupal or another blogging tool, too, if you prefer a different blogging service than WordPress after doing some research on what you can and cannot do with WordPress. If you want two blogging platforms, you can proceed with a WordPress install and a Drupal, etc. install – just check your options with your web host.
Alternatively, to use WordPress without a host, WordPress.com is another option for a blog. WordPress through WordPress.com provides both a free option and a paid option.
For use of creating with more blogging platforms outside of WordPress, those are available as well. Do a web search using Google or another search engine to do your research and find one you like. One example is Blogger by Google (google.com), that also provides a blog platform.
WordPress is what I use because it is a Content Management System (CMS) and has features like plugins and themes that do what I want as I cannot do much coding myself. I also like its backend interface of the dashboard and managing entries and such. I know a minimal amount of coding myself, so I can adlib some modifications I add to not use as many plugins and themes for. There are free versions and paid versions of WordPress themes and plugins. As with any venture, whichever blog platform (and if you use that for free or use as paid) you proceed with, do your research on their DOCS and FAQS and Support for help and support and tutorials; YouTube (youtube.com) or a similar video service can also provide support tutorials in a visual format. WordPress.org has an extensive support library of documentation, too.
